How PNTMAP™ compares

Many publicly accessible interference maps rely on third-party or community-sourced ADS-B data and are not designed to provide a UK-sovereign, contractable evidence service. PNTMAP™ is being built specifically for that requirement.

PNTMAP is an intelligence and situational-awareness service. It is not an authorised navigation source and must not be used as the sole basis for flight planning, navigation or aviation safety decisions.

Comparison data with source notes: forthcoming

No comparison matrix is published yet. Publishing one requires assessing each named source against each criterion with a dated, citable note for every cell; until that work is done and reviewable, this page publishes the criteria only. We will not characterise another operator's service from inference.

Evaluation criteria

  • Data provenance

Whether the underlying observations come from receivers the operator owns and controls, or from aggregated third-party and community feeds.

  • Sovereignty of processing

Where the data is processed and stored, and under which jurisdiction the operator is accountable.

  • Contractability

Whether the source can be contracted with, with defined delivery, revision and support obligations.

  • Evidence format

Whether individual events are published as permanent, citable records with sample size, baseline and confidence attached.

  • Methodology transparency

Whether detection parameters are published at parameter level and versioned.

  • Verifiability

Whether records carry cryptographic provenance a third party can check independently.

  • RF corroboration

Whether GNSS-band RF measurement is available to corroborate ADS-B-derived anomalies.

  • Coverage honesty

Whether unmonitored airspace is clearly distinguished from airspace observed and found nominal.

  • Latency

Time from observation to a published or delivered record.

  • Historical access

Depth and format of retrospective access to past events.

Where PNTMAP™ stands today

Against these criteria, the platform's own honest position is published rather than asserted: per-node capability status on the network page, parameter-level detection rules in the methodology, and provenance status on Verify Evidence. RF corroboration and cryptographic verifiability are planned and are not live on any node.
